chinese boots look like seconds

These boots are not crafted very well. The detail leather has cuts that are sewn over and I believe I paid full price for seconds quality. whats worse they were almost $40.more than the last ones I got.

Classic TALL boots - same Frye quality

I owned my first pair of Frye 14" boots when I was 17 and those lasted after a couple of re-soling for almost twenty years! These have a slightly different toe and either my instep has increased or these newer ones are tighter around the calf area. I am trying to break these in (and I will by golly!) but I may break down and buy a stretcher for the instep adding about another $100 to the cost. But if these boots last anywhere near what my original pair did it will be worth it!More detail ...

Comfortable and novel

I got this boot from another source where the flames are actually the same color as the boot for a more subtle effect and dressier. I think this is great if you want a nice pair of boots that don't stand out quite as much. I don't feel these boots are "leather lined" as advertised; it just seems like 1 layer...thin compared to other boots. As a result you might want to buy a pair which is offered under $100 which is a more realistic value.More detail ...
